Hello, dear reader! Maygen aka “Sneaks” here. Every Thursday morning, I make a list of things to do in Saskatoon with an emphasis on low or no cost events. I volunteer to make these weekly guides. Thurs 6pm- Saskatchewan-produced double feature documentary screening at Landmark Both movies honour veterans. They are For Country: First In, Last Out and Operation Friction. Q & A afterwards.

Thurs 7pm (doors 6:30)- Draw With Me Story Jam (19+) at Art Bar. Local storytellers share 5-min stories while you draw what the story inspires. After each, there’s karaoke and time to finish your creation. Then, the host reveals the audience’s drawings, roasting n toasting them. No artistic talent required! Drawing supplies provided or bring your own. No cover, PWYC.

Thurs-Sat- Grazing Dinners at Beaver Creek hosted by Meewasin Valley Authority. See the sheep, learn about biodiversity, enjoy a beautiful outdoor meal hosted by Odla’s head chef. $300 (donation to Meewasin)

Fri 6:30pm- Line Dance Social at Nutana Legion Whether you’re brand new or already know the steps, everyone is welcome. 5:30-6:30 a menu is available for purchase. Free admission!

Fri 7-10:30am- KidSport 5th Annual Pancake Breakfast presented by Cameco at KW Nasser Plaza. $10/plate

Fri 2-11pm- National Legion Week Open House at Nutana Legion Lounge opens at 2pm, Museum opens at 3pm and soup and sandwiches for $10.00 are being served from 5-7pm. Happy Hour Pricing from 2-7pm. Open to all. Ends at 7pm and is followed by trivia.

Fri 4:30-7:30pm- Piano Friday with Martin Janovsky at The Bassment, no cover

Fri 5-7pm- Huskie Athletics Homecoming Kick off the season with Rally Alley presented by Saskatoon Co-op at Griffith’s Stadium. Live music, food trucks, beer gardens, face painting, and a variety of games and family-friendly activities. Open to the entire USask and Saskatoon community, FREE. Then take in the football game, $22, $10/youth, USask reserved $10

Fri-Sun-- U of S Huskies hockey & soccer

Fri-Sun- Doylefest at Eagle Creek Regional Park An all-ages music festival with live music (of course), camping, disc golf, children's activities, cultural programming and more. Less than an hour west of Saskatoon. A beautiful site with food available to buy. $35/day pass, $50/weekend, Sunday is by donation. Children 18 and under are free with their families or guardians!

Fri-Sun- CUMFI’s Metis Cultural Days at WDM Three packed-full days of live music and dancing, the Métis Market, Métis Village & Scavenger Hunt, Elder Stories, Michif Bingo, Voyageur Games, Bannock on a Stick, wagon rides , vendor market, face painting , community open mic and much more! On Sunday, there’s even a free pancake breakfast. FREE ADMISSION

Fri-Sun 11am-8pm - Prairie Pathways Corn Maze and Sunflower Maze $11, $9/ages 5-12, free for under 5. Sunflower maze $5 or add $3 to the corn maze

Fri-Sun 1-8pm- Youth Farm Corn Maze in Rosthern Corn mazes, giant bouncy pillow, big slide, climbing wall, petting zoo, pedal go karts, and more. $15 or $19 for a wristband. Visit my IG or FB for a chance to WIN a $100 gift card… I’m drawing Friday at midnight :)

Sat morning til 6pm- Saskatoon Curbside Swap A citywide treasure hunt! List your address on the site to give away items you no longer use (label with a “free” sign on your lawn) and browse other participating addresses. A great opportunity to declutter responsibly and find some free gems, too!

Sat 9am-4pm- Everything Country Outdoor Market by Hague. 300 vendors and food trucks, $5/vehicle

Sat 10am-5pm- Broadway Street Fair Over 170 vendors, Broadway shops, restaurants, and bars, food trucks and food vendors, live entertainment, art, family activities, &community organizations. Free admission.

Sat 10am- Picnic & Yoga at Rotary Park in support of 30 Birds. Yoga, followed by a potcluck / BYO picnic. By donation. [Waiting on link]

Sat 11am-noon- Sticker Talk craft workshop at Lawson Heights Mall Decorate your own journal, pencil case, make a friendship bracelet or grab one of our make and take kits, and create your own positive affirmation cards or decorate pre-written ones to help you through the not so sunny days. Free! While supplies last.

Sat 11am-3pm- Saskatoon Homeschool Market at Rittenger Acres. In case of inclement weather, the backup location is J.J. Loewen Community Centre (“The JJ”) Dalmeny, SK. Shop a market of young entrepreneurs, enjoy activities for the kids, meet community guests, hear the 96th Highlanders Pipes & Drums, & enter to win raffle prizes. Directions on their page. Free entry.

Sat noon-midnight- Horizon Festival at Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan site Music, art, culture and a city transformed from daylight to UV sunset. Featuring Kytami & Phonik Ops, aerialists, fire show, pole… sounds fun! $47

Sat 1pm-Bookworm is screening at Remai Modern,, a family-friendly movie. $10/adults, free for members & under 18

Sat 2pm- Sheep grazing demonstration at Beaver Creek Watch shepherd Jared Epp in action with his dog and learn about bio diversity. Free

Sat 3-4:30pm- Discover Kizomba at Midwest Karate. No experience or partner needed, $30

Sat 5pm- Sutherland Automotive Speedway,. Adult $20, Youth/Military/Senior $15, under 12 free

Sat 5:30-9pm- Plant Music Bingo & Karaoke Night at 3 Hall Public House in support of Hope on the Prairies Foundation for mental health. Prizes include GCs from local businesses and rare plants! Tickets $36

Sat 7pm- Saskatoon Blades Hockey at SaskTel Centre, $16, $5/child

Sat 10am-5pm & Sun 10am-4pm- Kith and Kin Market at Prairieland Park

Sat & Sun 11am-4pm- Modern Artmakers all-ages drop-in workshop at Remai Modern by donation, free for members & youth under 18

Sat 1-9pm & Sun 1-7pm- Witchy, Weird, and Wonderful Market at Cosmo Senior Centre, 30+ uniquely talented handmade artisans, readers, & mystics.

Sat & Sun 2-4pm- Local Author Weekend at Indigo on 8th Street This is an awesome opportunity to find a new favourite local author or support one of your current faves at this book signing event. Plus, kids' storytimes on the half hour. Free to attend!

Sun 9am-noon- Cars & Coffee A weekly meetup for car enthusiasts at Tiger Automotive. All makes & models welcome, go see some cool wheels folks bring out. Free

Sun 10:30-11:30am- Pilates in the Park at River Landing Hosted by Poise Studios. Just bring your own mat, free.

Sun 11am-3pm- Fam Jam at Churchill Park Presented by the Adelaide Park-Churchill Community Association, there’s a BBQ, games, balloons, bouncy castles, fire trucks, and more! Free admission.

Sun noon-4pm- Prairie Colours at the Northeast Swale Stone Circle Enjoy dance, poetry, visual art, guided walks, nature-themed books from the library, and other activities while spending an afternoon at the Northeast Swale. Family-friendly. Free!

Sun 1-4pm- Dundonald Family Fun Day Bouncy Castles, mini golf more yard games to try out!
The fundraiser BBQ will be hosted by the Warman Ultimate Cheerleading Group. Free admission.

Sun 1-5pm- SIR street legal car racing- Racers $50, spectators $10

Sun 3pm- History of Pioneer Cemetery by Dianne Wilson - meet at Cemetery Ruth Street & St Henry Avenue. Free, donations to Saskatoon Heritage Society welcome.

Sun 4:30- Globe BMX races, free

Sun 7pm- Minions and Monsters under the stars, at North Brevoort Park by the outdoor rink. Brevoort Park is celebrating 50 years as a community association. They’re hosting an afternoon coffee and neighborhood memories chat, followed by an AGM and outdoor movie screening. Free.

Mon 5:30-8:30pm- Artists’ Reception at the University Club with Pike Lake Art Tour. Free.
