Alive and kickin it this summer

Alive and kickin it this summer

Although the days will never be longer, a summer in Saskatchewan is never long enough. That’s why this year, I have vowed to savour the season not just with my kids (because lord knows, as a stay-at-home mom, I AM DOING THAT ALREADY) but with my family, husband, and friends. For me, that means a happy cheers with a cocktail in hand now and then. But who wants to spend time in the kitchen when a sunny sky awaits? For casual outdoor hangouts, I want ease: something yummy, cold, and light that I can grab from the fridge or plunk into a cooler. That’s exactly where Alive Vodka coolers enter the picture! Lemme tell you why they make the perfect summer go-to.

Disclosure: I have participated in a paid partnership With Independent Distillers Canada. Opinions in this post are my own. (Ummm how lucky am I?!)

Are you a calorie counter? I’m not, but I definitely think about sugar content and how a drink will make me feel afterward. Alive is a surefire hit. It’s only 80 calories and is gluten-free so you’re not going to feel bloated or heavy afterward, and you don’t have to worry about sugar either. I knocked on my neighbors’ door with a couple Alive cans in hand and here’s how that went down :)

Isn’t this cul-de-sac just made for lawn chair hangouts? All part of my summer plan: the kiddos playing in the “circle” while the adults visit, enjoying a bevvie or two together. Last year, my family thought about moving closer to Petra’s school but we just couldn’t leave this community. Sometimes there’s ten of us parents in one of these impromptu block parties— I don’t think that’s the norm on every street!

Alive is available in Lemon & Keylime, Grapefruit & Pomegranate, and Raspberry, Blueberry & Acai and I know Independent Distilleries would love me to pick a favourite but honestly, they’re all really good. Full-flavoured, fizzy, and fun.

Find Alive at your local liquor store… and at my backyard BBQs, lake-bound cooler, or in my hand during a Saturday night hot tub. Cheers to Alive Vodka for partnering with me on this post!
