Saskatoon Kids' Local Love Art Gallery
When my daughter Petra asked if she could host a colouring contest, I said “maybe”. In fact, I said that for a week straight… all the way up until I thought of a way to incorporate something near and dear to my heart: local love. Yes, this art contest asks for your child to draw, paint, or otherwise artistically represent a favourite activity, place, or event in Saskatoon. And although at first, Petra fancied that she would be the judge, she’s since agreed the winner will be drawn at random. The prize? A big ol’ box of Candy Club candy from one of my family’s frequent local destinations: The Shoppe! And although the contest is now closed (congratulations to Brooklyn on the win), the artworks live on in this online gallery! So please enjoy a browse and if your child would like to see their art featuring a Saskatoon destination displayed here, I’m happy to add it.
