Wrangler Elisa to join Reptile & Magic camp with Family Fun Events

Not so long ago, my daughter came home from a birthday party & announced that she loves snakes. SNAKES?! 7-year-old Petra has been squeamish and shy around creepy-crawlies so when I dropped her off at that birthday, knowing full well Wrangler Elisa would be there with her reptiles, I wondered how she’d fare. Turns out Wrangler Elisa’s engaging, friendly approach with both animals and children flipped a switch! This spring, my family spent hours at the Reptile Expo and now, Petra’s big summer plan is to attend the Family Fun Events Reptile & Magic Camp featuring Wrangler Elisa and magician, Magic Ben. Here’s a bit of what you can expect from the camp.

In years past, educator, speaker, and animal rehabilitator Wrangler Elisa has hosted her own camps. They always sold out so when I put my camp list together this year, I was disappointed to hear she wouldn’t be running one. Happily, a partnership with Family Fun Events came up and the opportunity to work beside that extra element of magic made it one she couldn’t turn down.

You might know Family Fun Events from their Easter Egg Hunts at Midtown, Confed, and Market Mall this Spring. They were SO well-run with staff helping at every station, loads of hands-on activities beyond just the hunt, and the decor was absolutely instagrammable. Their bread-and-butter is event planning and they have experience with weddings, anniversaries, Sweet 16s, birthdays, and corporate events. Combine their attention to detail with Wrangler Elisa’s years in the field of children’s entertainment and you’d already have a win.

But then, add MAGIC. Afternoons at the camp will be spent learning slight of hand, mentalism, and other tricks the kids can use to amaze friends and family, with Magic Ben. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a magic camp in Saskatoon (and I really know camps, ha!) so this unique offering is sure to excite your littles.

The camp runs July 18-23 and July 25-29 and is suited for kids aged 5-10. Unlike many camps, the 9-5 runtime also has before and aftercare available so it’s ideal for working parents. Each camp week is capped at 25 kids so staff is fully able to give attention. All Reptile & Magic Camp staff members have CPR and First Aid certified, undergone a criminal record check with vulnerable sector, and have years of experience working with children of all ages., Lunches must be packed and sent from home but there are snacks and refreshments provided.

To register, call Corrie at 306-220-6588. I’ll seeya there as I drop Petra off,
